Level 2 Anaphylaxis Management

Course Outline

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to manage a casualty who has Anaphylaxis.

This 4 hour course will teach students how to support a casualty who has an allergic reaction. With 40% of children now having allergic reactions, this training is essential. The course is tailored to students/employers needs.

This course is a natural follow on from a first aid course.

Course Content

• What are allergic reactions?
• Patient care and communication
• The unconscious casualty
• Using auto injectors
• Patient Assessment
• Resuscitation (adult, baby & child)

Assessment

The student is assessed by continual assessment by the course instructor throughout the course.
