Level 2 Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Course Outline

The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to safely use an Automated External Defibrillator.

AED's save lives. Statistics show that more than 75 000 lives per year in the UK could be saved by the immediate availability of an AED for the person in Cardiac arrest.
They are extremely safe and easy to use and provide life saving medical treatment.
Early defibrillation can increase the chance of survival from 5% to more than 50%.
The life it saves could be yours!

This 4 hour course is designed for those who wish to qualify to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Assessment

The course is assessed by a continuous assessment of the students progress throughout the course.
