Level 1 Basic Paediatric Life Support (2 Hours)

Course Outline

The aim of this course is to provide students with the training to perform basic life
support on a baby/child in the event of an emergency.

This 2 hour course is designed for teachers, learning support assistants, nurses, health care support assistants, baby sitters, parents & child carers who require basic life support training.

• Resuscitation
• Personal Protective Equipment
• Incident Management
• Unconsciousness
• Choking

Assessment

The course is assessed by a continuous assessment of the students progress throughout the course.
