Level 2 Sport First Aid
Course Outline
The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to administer First Aid in the Workplace and Sporting environment and receive a nationally recognised and approved qualification by the Health & Safety Executive.
This 7 hour course is designed to prepare students for all sporting activities e.g. rugby, football, hockey, golf, basketball, martial arts etc to provide first aid skills in any sporting environment. Students will also qualified as HSE Approved Emergency First Aiders at Work.

- Recording and Reporting
- Importance of Basic Hygiene in First Aid
- Patient Assessment
- Dealing with an Unconscious Casualty
- Perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Bleeding & Wounds
- Seizures
- Shock
- Choking
- Fractures
- Dislocations
- Sprains
- Strains
- Suspected spinal injuries
- Head Injuries
Assessment
The course is assessed by a continuous assessment of the students progress throughout the course.
