Course Outline
The aim of this 5 day course is to provide students with training in food safety and provide a nationally recognised food safety management qualification.
The Level 4 Award in Food Safety is a qualification intended for managers / trainers / owners / auditors / inspectors working in catering / retail / manufacturing environments.
Persons gaining this qualification will know that food safety is the responsibility of everyone involved in the storage, preparation, cooking service and handling of food. The subjects covered are regarded by the
Foods Standards Agency as being important to ensure good practice and the production of safe food and provide students with additional skills to manage the food safety process in the workplace.

- The Education and Training of Food Handlers
- Management Control Techniques (Including HACCP)
Assessment
The end of course assessment is conducted by a 2 1/2 exam which consists of multi choice and questions.

HABC Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering / Retail / Manufacturing
