NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Fire and Risk Management
Course Introduction
The 5 Day NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management is a qualification for those with fire safety responsibilities in the workplace. Over 1,500 candidates having already achieved the qualification.
Managers and supervisory staff who need to ensure that their organisation meets its responsibilities under fire safety legislation. Courses leading to this qualification should equip holders to carry out fire risk assessments of most low risk workplaces and identify the range of fire protective and preventative measures required. It is therefore also suitable for people moving into fire safety adviser roles.
The qualification meets the academic requirements to apply for Technician membership (Tech IOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
To attend this course, students must have either achieved the full NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or NGC1 (First module of the general certificate).

Course Aim
The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to manage and assess fire and risk in the workplace and to achieve the internationally recognised NEBOSH qualification.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Examine the requirements for managing fire safety in the workplace
- Examine and discuss the principles required for fires and explosions
- Examine and define the causes and prevention methods of fire
- Examine and define the methods to protect buildings from fire
- Examine the responses of people in fire
- Define procedures for the event of a fire occurring
- Define the principles of a fire risk assessment
- Demonstrate a fire risk assessment on the students workplace

Assessment
Candidates undertake a fire risk assessment of a workplace of their choice. The assessment is marked by the Crown Training Academy and externally moderated by NEBOSH. Candidates will be required to complete the Fire Risk Assessment within 14 days.

NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management.
