NEBOSH Level 3 General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health
Course Introduction
This 10 day structured internationally recognised qualification for Health & Safety is the required standard for those who are required to manage Health & Safety in the Workplace.
The National General Certificate is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK with over 100,000 people having gained the award since it was launched in 1989.
It is designed for Managers, Supervisors, Business Owners, Health & Safety Managers etc. This is the ideal start for any prospective Health & Safety Consultant/ Trainer.
The NEBOSH National General Certificate meets the academic requirements for Technician membership (TechIOSH) of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

Assessment
Part 1 tests candidates’ knowledge on the subject and is assessed by a 30 minute, 15-question multiple-choice examination. Successful candidates must score at least 10 out of 15 to pass this element of the
qualification. The examination is set and marked by HABC.
Part 2 is a competency-based assessment carried out by the Nominated Tutor. Candidates must practically demonstrate the application of the correct techniques in all the identified common workplace activities
indicated within the qualification.
