Level 2 Diabetes Management

Course Outline

The aim of this course is to introduce students with the knowledge and skills to support those with diabetes.

This 1/2 extensive introduction training course is designed to equip staff working with people who have diabetes in their care with the knowledge and skills to best support them. It provides a solid foundation to feel confident in supporting each patient/client.

Course Content

• What is Diabetes?
  
• Its problems and dangers
  
• Monitoring Diabetes (Blood Readings)
  
• Hypoglycaemia and Hypoglycaemia
  
• First Aid including use of Glucose
  
• Open Forum
  
• Case Study’s

Assessment

Students will be assessed with a 30 question multiple choice paper.
