Level 2 Introduction to Drugs & Alcohol Awareness
Course Outline
The aim of this course is to introduce students with the knowledge and skills to support those with alcohol and drug problems.
Working with people who are affected by Drugs and Alcohol is offering a challenging environment. An appreciation of the situation assists any family member, support worker or colleague to better work with this client group. This 3 hour course is designed introduce students to this subject.
Course Content
- What are Drugs?
- What is Alcohol?
- The effects of the body
- Working with under the influence
- Overdose- Including Emergency Procedures
- Types of Drugs
- Psychology of Alcohol & drugs
Assessment
Students will be assessed with a 30 question multiple choice paper.
Certificate
Level 2 Introduction to Drugs and Alcohol.
