Level 2 Seizures Management

Course Outline

The aim of this course is to introduce students with the knowledge and skills to support those who require care when effected by seizures.

This 1/2 day extensive training course is designed to equip people working with colleagues, guests, family members and customers etc with the knowledge and skills to support those who may have seizures.

Course Content

• What are Seizures?
  
• The effects on the body
  
• The causes of Seizures
  
• First Aid Procedures
  
• Administration of Rectal and Oral Diazepam (optional)
  
• Case Studies

Assessment

Students will be assessed with a 30 question multiple choice paper.
